The 2020 Global Outreach Day in Nigeria was unique. It took a different turn from the usual. Bro. Kola Aileru, Special Assistant to the National Coordinator, Reporting from Lagos: We commenced activities for the Global Outreach Day in the personal residence of the National Coordinator, Evangelist Oguazi Onyemobi. I was with his family as we gathered to listen to the “Hope Proclamation” GO2020. We all lifted our voices in response to the Proclamation and prayed for the nation and for souls to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ throughout the nation. While his wife went out alone to witness, I went out with the Evangelist, wearing our face masks, to witness in and around the neighborhood.
We first met some laborers in a construction site and shared the Gospel to them, and three of them gave their lives to Christ. We went on and shared Gospel tracts to many people we met in the street and at the shops around, and some of them agreed to say the Sinners Prayers. We proceeded to the Estate Gate and witnessed to people in many shops along the Lekki-Epe Expressway. From there, we proceeded to Blenco Supermarket, where we gave out a lot of tracts.
Finally, we went to Sangotedo Bus Stop where we ministered to many traders and artisans. In some of the shops we visited, the people stopped their work and gathered to listen to the Word of God. We tried our best to maintain social distancing. Most of the people gave their lives to Christ. We gave out tracts to many people who gladly received them. In all, we had about 30 salvation decisions. Some rededicated their lives to the Lord. The people were very open to the Gospel. It was a glorious day.
A Christian Elder testified in a prayer meeting that early on that Saturday morning, he had a dream at which he say a mighty hand coming from Heaven with a big vial of oil. The hand turned the vial and poured the oil downward oil. When he looked down, he saw a multitude of people on the earth, and the oil was coming upon their heads. He was overwhelmed with joy. He said he believed that it is a sign that God is releasing a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the earth through the Global Outreach Day.
Some Churches and individuals came to our office to collect Gospel tracts, but most of the people were not able to go out for person to person evangelism because of the Government restrictions on movements and interaction. A lot of people used Telephone and Social Media platforms to send out messages of the Gospel to people.
Sister Tokumbo, RCCG Provincial Headquarters, Lekki, Lagos, reporting: The Global Outreach Day Outreach was so dynamic that it brought great revival to many people. People that ordinarily would not seek for God were desperate to hear the Word of God. Social Media Evangelism was massive. Several Pastors, Workers, Ministers, Evangelists and ordinary Church members bombard the airwaves with the Gospel message. The GO2020 Campaign really boosted the drive for Digital Evangelism. Some people Brethren shared their own personal testimonies:
Sister Kemi Walker ministered to 6 Muslims in an Auto Mechanic Workshop. She shared with them that Jesus is the only way to God and prayed for them.
Brother Daniel testified that many people were very receptive to the Gospel. His younger brother gave his life to Christ, and is doing well in the Faith.
Brother P. C. Nnorom testified that he shared about GO2020 on all Social Media Platforms he belongs to, and on his Whatsapp Prayer Group.
Pastor Patrick Obiora testified that they packaged food items and distributed to people around the Church. We used the opportunity to share the Gospel to them and they opened their heart to receive the Word of God. They wanted to know when our Church will reopen for services.
Elder Femi Arilewola testified that he used online platforms to evangelize. Some of the people he reached were overseas.
Sis. Joy testified that they only did online evangelism, but could not go out of their houses to witness because of the COVID-19 lockdown.
From 14th to 20th June 2020, Indigitous Global Outreach Nigeria in collaboration with G.O.D Nigeria will be holding STUDENTS DO2020 Student
